How Signature generator works
An email signature has to display correctly everywhere — Gmail, Outlook, on a phone as on a computer — and that's harder than it looks: every program interprets formatting its own way. This tool produces a signature built with the techniques that work everywhere, which you then just paste into your settings.
Step by step
- 1 You fill in your details: name, role, contact information.
- 2 The preview updates live beside the form.
- 3 You copy the resulting signature and paste it into your mail settings.
What to put in each field
- Name and role *
- Phone, email address, website **
- Accent colour ***
* What appears prominently. The role is optional.
** Fill in only what you want shown: empty fields are simply omitted, without leaving a blank line.
*** Used for links and the separator line. Pick a dark colour: it has to stay readable on white as well as in dark mode.
Good to know
- Nothing is stored: your details are used to produce the signature and are not kept.
- Remote images are deliberately avoided — many programs block them, and a signature with a broken image looks bad.
