How Mailbox analyzer works
This tool takes stock of your mailbox: how many messages, what size, which folders take up the most space, who writes to you most, and how it all spreads over time. It changes nothing — it's a survey, useful before tidying up or switching provider.
Step by step
- 1 You enter the credentials for the mailbox to analyse.
- 2 We open your mailbox read-only and go through the message headers — not their contents.
- 3 The report appears: size per folder, top senders, breakdown by year.
What to put in each field
- Email address *
- Password **
- Incoming server (IMAP) ***
* The address of the mailbox you want an inventory of.
** The password for that mailbox, or its app password.
*** Filled in for you when the provider is recognised.
Good to know
- The contents of your messages are never read: only their size, date and sender are examined.
