How Contacts & calendars works

Changing host isn't only about emails: your contacts and calendars live elsewhere, on servers known as CardDAV and CalDAV. This tool transfers them from one server to the other, address book by address book and calendar by calendar, without going through a manual file export.

Step by step

  1. 1 You enter the address and credentials for the source server, then for the destination server.
  2. 2 We discover the available address books and calendars on each side.
  3. 3 You choose what should be transferred.
  4. 4 The items are copied. The source server is not modified.

What to put in each field

  • Server address *
  • Username and password **

* The web address of your CardDAV or CalDAV service, over https. On Nextcloud it looks like https://cloud.example.com/remote.php/dav/ — your host gives it in their sync settings.

** Those of your account on that server. On iCloud, an app password is required.

Good to know

  • Nothing is deleted on the source side: the tool copies.
  • Google and Microsoft 365 are not compatible: their access to contacts and calendars uses a different authorisation mechanism that a plain password cannot open. A Google app password only works for emails.
  • Works with Nextcloud, ownCloud, Baïkal, Radicale, SOGo, Zimbra, Fastmail, mailbox.org, Infomaniak, Zoho, iCloud and most shared hosting.
